The 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series was the 21st season of the IndyCar Series and the 105th season of American open-wheel racing. It included the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500. Scott Dixon entered as the reigning Drivers' Champion, while Chevrolet entered the season as the reigning Manufacturer's Champion. Upon season's end, Simon Pagenaud was crowned Drivers' Champion, while Chevrolet retained the Manufacturer's Championship.

Pagenaud was the first European driver to win IndyCar Series driver's title since British driver Dario Franchitti in 2011 season.

2015 Verizon IndyCar Series - Champion : Scott Dixon

The 2015 Verizon IndyCar Series was the 20th season of the IndyCar Series and the 104th season of American open wheel racing. Its premier event was the 99th Indianapolis 500, which was held on May 24. Will Power returned as the reigning champion, while Ryan Hunter-Reay was the defending Indy 500 champion. Chevrolet entered the season as the reigning Manufacturers' champion. Indianapolis 500 and the season finale counted for double points.

The season was overshadowed by the death of driver Justin Wilson at Pocono, after being struck on the head by debris from Sage Karam's car.

A week after Wilson's fatal accident, the finale was held at Sonoma Raceway, where Scott Dixon secured his fourth career title after a low-key season that saw him win on a tiebreak against Juan Pablo Montoya following his third win of the season after many consistent finishes leading up to the finale. Montoya won the Indianapolis 500 earlier in the season. It was a very competitive season with no standout performers and many different race winners and pacesetters. Except Dixon's three race wins, he finished on the podium only once, but due to their consistent finishing Dixon and Montoya had a significant margin to reigning champion Will Power in third.

V8 Supercars 1997 Season - Champion : Glenn Seton

The 1997 Australian Touring Car Championship was a CAMS sanctioned Australian motor racing title open to 5.0 Litre Touring Cars complying with Group 3A regulations. The championship, which was the 38th Australian Touring Car Championship, began on 15 March at Calder Park Raceway and ended on 3 August at Oran Park Raceway after 10 rounds.

Promoted as the Shell Australian Touring Car Championship,[5] the series was won by Glenn Seton driving a Ford EL Falcon.

Rally Paris DAKAR 1999

The 1999 Dakar Rally, also known as the 1999 Granada–Dakar Rally, was the 21st running of the Dakar Rally event. After a short prologue stage on New Year's Eve 1998, the race began in earnest on 1 January 1999 and ended on 17 January after 16 competitive stages. After the fifth stage, the overall rally leader was German driver, Jutta Kleinschmidt, who, in the 1998 rally, was the first woman to ever win a stage of the rally.[1] The event was marked by a robbery on the 12th stage of the rally between Néma and Tichit in Mauritania of fifty competitors by armed men, in which vehicles, money and petrol were stolen.[2] Rally co-ordinators decided to continue with the race.[2] The rally was won by French driver Jean-Louis Schlesser.[3] The motorcycle title was won by Richard Sainct, whilst the truck title went to Karel Loprais in a Tatra 815.

1998 Dakar Rally, also known as the 1998 Paris–Granada–Dakar Rally, was the 20th running of the Dakar Rally event. The rally returned to a traditional Paris to Dakar route last used in 1993.[1] A number of competitors were attacked by unknown attackers near the end of the ninth stage, at Taoudenni in Mali.[2] Jean-Pierre Fontenay won the car class and Stéphane Peterhansel won his sixth and final motorcycle title before switching to the car category for subsequent events.[1] The truck title was won by Karel Loprais in a Tatra 815.

The 93rd 24 Hours of Le Mans (French: 93e 24 Heures du Mans) was an automobile endurance event on 14–15 June 2025 at the Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, France. It was the 93rd running of the 24-hour race organised by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, and the fourth round in the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship. British marque Aston Martin ran two modified Valkyries in the Le Mans Hypercar class, marking a return to the top class for the first time since 2011.

After achieving the fastest lap in the Hyperpole qualifying session, the No. 12 Cadillac V-Series.R run by Hertz Team Jota and driven by Will Stevens, Alex Lynn, and Norman Nato began from pole, the first American car to do so since 1967. The race was won by the privately entered No. 83 Ferrari 499P of AF Corse, driven by Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye, and Phil Hanson, the third consecutive victory for Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The LMP2 class was won by the No. 43 Inter Europol Competition Oreca 07 of Nick Yelloly, Jakub Śmiechowski and Tom Dillmann, the team's second victory in three years. Another consecutive victory went to the LMGT3 winners: Manthey's No. 92 Porsche 911 GT3, driven by Richard Lietz, with the addition of Ryan Hardwick and Riccardo Pera this year.
